Taking part to the Burkinabe Internet Governance Process

The Internet Governance process aiming to be opened to all the layers of the society (Firms, Academic, public and private Institutions, civil society, government...), the WAIGF consortium has developed a set of resources to encourage a greater participation.
First, a survey conducted with the cooperation of the IISD (International Institute for Sustainable Development) collects the participants’ views on Internet Governance key issues such as cybercrime, privacy, domain names management, e-commerce, promotion of local content, pornography, broadband access...

The discussion list
Secondly, a discussion list was drawn up to allow the members to hold a forum via email. Each member is free to comment and/or suggest a discussion topic of his/her choice.

A face-to-face forum is planned later on. This event will bring together all the stakeholders of Burkina Faso process in order to give some ideas in a multi-stakeholder and participatory model for improving the use of Internet in Burkina Faso and hence its development.
